Hello Make Noise Members

For the first Make Noise newsletter of 2008 we have a real mixed bag to share with you.

First of all one of our ethical web design clients - the mighty new Ethical Weddings magazine plus two great Green Hosting clients - Chineham Conservation Group and the Fairtrade Gedling Campaign.

That's not all, there's a new Make Noise member and news from a current member.

Phew! I may need to sit down.....

Ethical Weddings Magazine

Ethical Weddings has been re-launched, its bigger, better and here to help couples plan their dream green and ethical wedding.

Not only does the site include lots of helpful planning resources such as 'DIY Weddings' and 'Ask an Expert' it also holds an extensive directory of ethical wedding suppliers.

Check out their blog to find out the latest goings on in the world of green civil partnerships and weddings and discuss ethical views, news and ideas in their forum.

Chineham Conservation

Chineham Conservation Group have their lovely blog hosted on our green web servers.

They work hard to conserve wildlife and habitats including the woodlands and copses in Chineham.

The group invite people from the local ares to get involved in their conservation activities as well as contribute to their survey of wildlife which members can do via the website.

Ethical Superstore

These guys are one of our new Make Noise members and what can I say about them?

Well I guess it would be easier to list the things they don't do than the things they do.

Here you can buy everything eco, ethical and fairtrade under one roof. All the ease and range of a supermarket but without the guilt!

Food and drink, books and dvds, furniture, baby clothes - you name it, you can get it here. They have a posh new look too.

Fairtrade Gedling

This is a personal favourite of ours not just because we're the Gedling Fairtrade Group's web designers or that they're hosted with our Green Hosting but because we're actively involved in their campaign.

Gedling Fairtrade Group are working hard to raise the profile of Fairtrade in the Nottinghamshire Borough and gain Fairtrade Town status.

We have an impressive list of suppliers in our area who are already selling Fairtrade goods. This shows that the people of Gedling are doing a great job in supporting farmers and producers in developing countries.

Visit the website to find out what we're doing to celebrate Fairtrade Fortnight (23rd Feb - 9th Mar 08).

Find a Farmers Market

To help people find their local Farmers Market, Veg Box Scheme or Farm Shop throughout the UK, Allthingseco has created a comprehensive regional listing.

Farmers' Markets are not only good for farmers, but for their local communities, the environment, and your health (by eating fresh & organic produce). They help to save on transportation costs & food miles, packaging is reduced and the freshest local produce is available to consumers. Furthermore, across the UK there are numerous farm shops & veg box schemes that now help you to eat healthy, organic, natural, chemical free foods with ease. Seasonal, locally produced food can be delivered to your door, either with delivery from your local farmer, or national schemes using organic farmers from within the UK.

Now you can find your local farmers market, veg box scheme & farm shops with ease - just visit www.allthingseco.co.uk - and if they've missed any do let them know!

Remember!
