We've been having a little nose around the Ethical Weddings forum, blog and directory this month and the one thing that seems to get you talking more than anything else (apologies in advance green grooms!) is what to wear. From our keen detective work, the big dilemmas seem to be between the dress of your dreams and the ethical, green gown; but with eco chic on the up, we hope this particular either/or will soon be shopping history. In the meantime, if you're pondering this very problem, read on to find help, inspiration or failing that, some sympathy! Soon-to-be-wed, Sarah, shares the joy of discovery in a second-hand dress with a secret; and reports on her efforts to resist the lure of some 'more is more' aisle style in her post, Ethical wedding dress dilemmas. If you're more comfortable in wellies than Jimmy Choos, you'll get sympathy from our latest ethical bride on the block, Ria, whose natural habitat is most definitely not a white meringue! Overcoming her fashion fears to slink into a simple locally-made number, Ria got back to nature in the details of her big day. Read all about Ria and Dave's wedding and get their top tips for an ethical occasion. If you fancy sharing your wedding story on Ethical Weddings as a lovely memento of your day, get in touch. We've also chatted with Robyn of US-based The Rental Company, who sources green and ethical products and services to give US brides an eco wedding to remember. And African Dowry helps make your gift list a talking point offering fun but meaningful gifts such as Village Vet Starter Kits and Primary School tree nurseries.
