Vote for an ethical wedding

Vote for an ethical wedding

Election fever is upon us in the UK and voting is very much on our minds.  So how do you vote for an ethical wedding?

Every time you open your wedding wallet to support suppliers using organic, local, fair trade or eco products you're casting your vote.  Just as you are every time you find a green, DIY solution to a traditional wedding dilemma.

So keep voting with your cash and your actions and let the wedding industry know we want ethical weddings!

Sticking with the election theme, we're helping to tackle that key campaigning issue the recession with a review of 'Your beautiful wedding on any budget' and an extended credit crunch offer from Chocolate Couture.

Your Beautiful Wedding on Any Budget

Wedding costs can quickly spiral out of control so ethical bride-to-be, Sylvia Stigge was keen to review this budget-friendly book to find out how to make her upcoming nuptials that bit easier on the pocket.

But did it do the job?

How green is your portaloo?

How green is your portaloo?

On the Eco Wedding Panel at UK AWARE we took a question about composting toilets (for anyone who was there and wasn't sure if they heard right, yes, the name of the company mentioned was indeed Comfy Crappers ) and over the last few months several brides and grooms have got in touch on this often overlooked aspect of green wedding planning.

We've been pointing them to our blog post 'Feeling flushed on your wedding day' published in 2008 but we'd love to update it with your experiences.  Did you go green with your wedding WCs or are you still in search of the perfect eco loo?

Send us your green wedding loo stories!

And on that suitably dignified note, we will say our farewells for April and look forward to sharing some May madness with you next month.

Happy planning!
