Come and meet us at The National Wedding Show

With Valentine's Day over (mmm... we're still licking our lips thinking about the delectable desserts we had at our lovely local Worthing restaurant, Pestle & Mortar!), we're now looking forward to the next event in our Ethical Weddings calendar: The National Wedding Show at Olympia, London.

Holly from Our Green Wedding List has again very kindly invited us to share her stand, so how could we refuse? Especially as it could be a great chance to meet some of you and have a good old natter about your wedding plans!

If you can face the frenzy of a London wedding show it would be lovely to see you.  Jamie and I will be there from Ethical Weddings along with Holly and Maia from Our Green Wedding List.  You can find us at Stand J45 this Friday - Sunday. Book tickets online.

Awards... and more awards!

A big thank you to all of you who voted for us in the recent Yahoo! Finds of the Year 2007 Awards.  Sadly, we didn't scoop the main prize - that honour went to our fellow ethical Sussex business, Nigel's Ecostore (well deserved we hasten to add) but it was great to be a runner-up - particularly as the announcement that we'd been shortlisted came totally out of the blue!

But whether you're crazy in love with the idea of Ethical Weddings or even just think we're taking a step in the right direction, there's another chance to show your support by voting for us in the Ethical Business category of the annual Observer Ethical Awards - only if you think we're worth it of course!

Ethical Weddings goes Stateside

And finally, if you're not able to make it to The National Wedding Show in London but still have a desire to hear my dulcet tones(!), you can now listen to a podcast of me rambling on about my favourite subject (no prizes for guessing what I'm afraid) on the US wedding planning website, The Wedding Planning Audiocast.

We recorded the podcast for their Eco Chic Wedding section and it's really great to hear that US couples are just as keen as UK ones to celebrate their big day in sustainable style.

Well, that pretty much covers everything for February but for any of our female readers who haven't actually taken the plunge yet, don't forget it's a leap year this year - get ready to bend that knee on the 29th!
