Vote for your Scot of the year for 2008
We have launched this years search for Scot of the year 2008!
Last year’s winner Gordon Brown is once again in the running after surviving a turbulent year at number 10. Olympic hero Chris Hoy is a hot favourite for Sports Personality of the year and it would be no surprise he added Scot of the year to his many other accolades. Another entry from the sports world, Andy Murray will be hoping his domination on the courts translates into votes. From the arts world, A.L Kennedy has been recognised as well as David Tennant and Kelly Macdonald after her blistering performance in No Country for Old Men and Best Supporting Actress Oscar nomination.
Half Scot Donald Trump, who has courted controversy with his plan for a world class golf course and resort on a sensitive piece of land in Aberdeenshire, is recognised for his ambition and investment in Scotland’s future if not in its bird population. And if you’re stuck on where to place your vote this Christmas, Gordon Ramsay might be a good bet, the way things are going he might need someone to share his Christmas dinner.
