Dear firstname,
Most people return from holiday fearing what the local weather will have in store for them. We recently experienced the opposite when returning from our Scandinavian honeymoon.
Disembarking the ferry at Harwich, myself and my new husband were overjoyed to find glorious sunshine in the UK having seen very little during our holiday. Well, we did pick Denmark and Sweden, to be fair. And we chose the very two weeks that saw a particularly bad spell of wet weather.
But we weren't off to Denmark and Sweden for sunshine alone. Instead we travelled North to understand what makes things 'work' there. By this we mean cycling cities, quality of life, work/life balance, design, etc. We came back fully inspired and can see why Copenhagen was chosen to host this year's UN Climate Change Conference.
If you want to read our blog about the trip which includes a healthy portion of sweeping generalisations, click here.
So, I now have a new name in keeping with the general eco-theme, and some new plans on the horizon for ecoescape. I hope you'll stay with us and, for now, enjoy some ideas for summer ecoescapes below.
Bye for now,
Laura Greenman
